Summer drink to try!

Last night I was at Starbucks and I tried the Caramel Waffle Cone Frappuccino. It was very sweet but so good and the tall is more than enough. If you happen to go by a Starbucks you have to try it and let me know what you think of this new summer drink at Starbucks.

Summer lips

When I think of summer lips I see pinks, nudes and lots of gloss. I have over the years tried so many different pink shades of lipstick and the one thing I have learned is the color in the tube will not look the same on your lips. I have and do put foundation or concealer on my lips to cancel out the natural color of my lips. The true color of my lipstick then shows up so much better.

Here are some of my favorite pink and nude lipsticks and glosses.

- Tantric sheer by Urban Decay
- Fleshpot satin by MAC
- High Tea lustre by MAC
- Noble by Kat Von D
- Nude Beach by Too Faced
- Sphynx Katy Perry by Cover Girl
- Peach lush fruit lip gloss by Bite
- Purrr Glossy Cat by Rimmel London

The prefect liquid eyeliner

Over the years I have tried so many different liquid eyeliners and some have been good and others not so much. But just a week ago I found what I think is the best liquid eyeliner ever. It's the Stila stay all day waterproof liquid eyeliner in intense black and you can get it at Sephora. It is a little expensive for a eyeliner around $29 but I think it is so worth it. I also have never been able to do the prefect winged eyeliner untill now this eyeliner has changed my whole eye look.

Getting the prefect tan!

It's summer again and most of us are all trying to get that prefect tan. I have tried lot's of self tanners and over the past couple years I have come across what I think is the best ones. I also have a routine I do to get my skin ready for the self tanners I use. Listed below are the steps I take to get the prefect tan.

-The first thing you want to do is take a shower or bath and use your favorite body wash to clean your skin.
- Next thing I do and this might sound weird is take turbinado sugar and exfoliate my whole body. This will leave you skin feeling so soft and remove all the dry skin. Focus on you knees, elbows and ankles because this is where self tanner can look darker and not natural for you don't exfoliate these spots really good.
- I will shave my legs next because you never want to put self tanner on with hairy legs. Believe me it does not look good I have tried this and my legs looked very spotty.
- Once I'm finished I will then get out of the shower or bath and pat myself dry.
- Then I will take any body lotion or body butter and rub it in to my feet, ankles, knees and elbows. This will make these body parts extra soft and the tanner will apply better.
-Then your ready for your self tanner! I prefer to use the mousse self tanners and not the lotions or sprays.
- You will need a tanning mit and my favorite to use is the ST.Tropez self tanning mit. I got mine at Shoppers for around eight or ten dollars.
- I always start with my legs and put 3 pumps on the mit. I will start below my knee and start rubbing the tanner in. Once my leg looks completely covered I will take  whatever is left on my mit and rub it on my feet, ankles and knees. Then I will take 3 more pumps of tanner and start above my knee. Then repeat on my other leg.
- I will then move to my stomach, lower back and butt. Yes even my butt but only if I will be wearing a bathing suit do I do this area.
- My arms are next I take 2 pumps and do below my elbow up to my wrist and like before whatever is left on my mit after my lower arm is done I rub on my elbow and hand. Then I take another 2 pumps and do my upper arm up to my shoulder. Then repeat the same steps on my other arm.
- My chest is next 2 more pumps and what ever is left on my mit after my chest is done goes on my neck up under my chin and back of my neck to the hairline.
-Then there is the back this takes some practice but take 2-3 pumps and start rubbing the tanner in. You might have to keep switching your mit from hand to hand to get it rubbed in. Then whatever is left on the mit I will rub it in under my arms. This is optional but I like my tan to be even all over.
- I don't use self tanner on my face because it's so sensitive I just match my foundation to my neck.
-If you have used a tanner that has a 2-3 hour waiting time put on a old t shirt and shorts and just wait it out. If the tanner does not have a time frame just put on old clothing for the day and I alway take a shower before bed.
- When you get in the shower don't scrub your body or exfoliate just put a little body wash on your hands and clean off the self tanner.
- Put on lots of lotion once you dry off and you will be left with a beautiful streak free golden tan.

My two favorite products to use are,

  • Loving Tan 2 HR Express Deluxe Bronzing Mousse in Dark.
  • St. Tropez Bronzing Mousse

Friday 24 June 2016

Back in January I think I went though one of my biggest hair changes ever. I went from pale blonde to a dark browinish red which was a huge change. I loved the color but the upkeep was so much work and I have very oily hair so I have to wash my hair everyday or second day. Now I'm in the process of going blonde again and it is taking alot of work to remove the red. I have been working with an amazing hair dresser who is slowly giving me my blonde hair again.

These are some products that I have used when I was blonde and red that worked great.

Joico Color Infuse Red Shampoo and Conditioner.
L'Oreal Professionnel Serie Expert Silver Shampoo.
Macadamia Oil Deep Repair Masque.

If you have any products you love for your hair please let me know what they are. I love trying out new hair products.
